Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to Victoria County Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its content, or submitting a query signals acceptance of every term below. Anyone who does not agree should stop using the website.

NO FCRA USE. Victoria County Criminal History is privately operated and has no government affiliation. It and its advertising partners do not provide services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose. The resource helps visitors locate public-record channels in Victoria County, Texas. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site is independent of every government office. It does not hold official criminal records, submit legal papers, retrieve a record, or perform an official background check.

Its content routes readers to Victoria County court clerks, the Sheriff's Office, Texas DPS, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to independently operated search tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is allowed only when lawful and consistent with these terms. A visitor must not:

  • Violate a federal, Texas, or local law
  • Threaten, stalk, intimidate, or harass another person
  • Use site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
  • Access a system, account, or area without permission
  • Operate bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools
  • Interfere with service performance or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked tool may not be used to stalk, threaten, intimidate, harass, or unlawfully discriminate. That limit is especially important for the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 62 makes data available for public safety, not confrontation, vigilantism, or unlawful harm. Misuse may carry civil or criminal consequences.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Victoria County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and produces no credit report, consumer report, or official background check. Data from the site or a linked tool cannot be used to:

  • Make an employment decision
  • Evaluate a tenant or housing applicant
  • Set credit or insurance eligibility
  • Decide access to a license, permit, or public benefit
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

A legally permitted check for a regulated purpose must come from Texas DPS or a provider that meets all applicable FCRA duties.

5. No Legal Advice

The content is general information, not legal advice. A licensed Texas attorney should address how a Victoria County charge, warrant, disposition, expunction, or nondisclosure rule applies to a specific matter.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are supplied "as is" without a guarantee that:

  • Information is always complete, accurate, or current
  • Access will be continuous or uninterrupted
  • The pages contain no error, defect, or security weakness
  • An outside search result will be accurate or comprehensive

A record can change after filing, dismissal, correction, nondisclosure, or expunction. Gaps and delays can occur. Treat no statement here as an official response from a court, sheriff, clerk, police department, or state agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links point to government pages, legal resources, court portals, and outside search services. Those destinations are independently controlled. Victoria County Criminal History is not responsible for their content, availability, prices, privacy practices, or terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Victoria County Criminal History or its content partners own the website's text, code, graphics, and logos. Copying, modifying, distributing, or creating derivative work requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site is not liable for loss or damage arising from its use, a linked service, or reliance on information found through either.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to indemnify and hold the site harmless from claims, demands, proceedings, and related legal costs caused by that visitor's use or breach of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from use of the website must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. An updated version takes effect when it is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in force. The affected provision is narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
